Health benefits of drinking buttermilk (Chaas) daily in summer

1.      Buttermilk contains about 3% protein in the form of casein, about 2% of fat, some carbohydrates, vitamin B12, riboflavin and vitamin A.

2.      If you suffer from acidity after a meal, start including chaas in your diet. The yoghurt will cool your stomach and soothe any irritation.

3.      If you feel eaten too much then drink a small glass of chilled chaas. Buttermilk is very effective in washing down the fat, oil or ghee that normally coats the inner walls of your food pipe and stomach. Soothes the stomach after a spicy meal.

4.      Buttermilk can be safely consumed by diarrhea, helping to bind stools and to rehydrate the body.

5.      Chaas is a good source of proteins, potassium and vitamin B. Each of the ingredients in chaas is really healthy with plenty of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. These nutrients boost immunity, improve sleep and much more.

6.       Buttermilk is rich in bioactive protein that has cholesterol-lowering, antiviral, antibacterial, and anticancer properties. Drinking buttermilk significantly lowered blood pressure, if had on a daily basis.

7.      Many people who are less lactose or intolerant are actually able to digest yoghurt without a problem. If you are lactose intolerant, drinking chaas is one way to make sure you get your calcium.
